1. Taylor Swift (2006)

The debut album ‘Taylor Swift’ marks the start of her illustrious career. At the beginning of her career, she shone as an innocent country girl in the country music genre. Hits like ‘Tim McGraw’ and ‘Teardrops on My Guitar’ tell of love, heartbreak and the search for oneself.

In keeping with the album, Taylor presents outfits that bring her early country roots to life. Cowboy boots, dresses with ruffles and light prints as well as curly hair give her look a romantic and playful touch that harmonizes perfectly with the character of her first album. The guitar as an accessory and her trademark is of course a must. On the ‘Eras’ tour, she often stands in the spotlight of the stage with her guitar and enchants millions of Swifties with her singing.

2. Fearless (2008)

The album ‘Fearless’ marked Taylor's glittering breakthrough in 2008. Songs such as ‘Love Story’ and ‘You Belong with Me’ capture the highs and lows of youth and memories of first love.

Fearless’ is a bold combination of girlish charm and feminine self-confidence. Sequined dresses paired with golden accessories herald a break with the romantic and playful dresses of the previous era. On her ‘Eras’ tour, she wears a customized dress by Roberto Cavalli that makes her sparkle on stage.

3. Speak Now (2010)

The theme of love runs like a thread through Taylor Swift's albums. Hits like ‘Mine’ or ‘Back to December’ tell of forgiveness, opportunities taken and unrequited feelings.

No colour could represent the era of ‘Speak Now’ better than the colour purple. Delicate, lavender-coloured dresses and lots of tulle underline the fairytale atmosphere of the album and whisk us away into a world full of romance and reverie.

4. Red (2012)

The album ‘Red’ embodies the musical diversity of country, pop and rock. It is dedicated to emotions such as fragility and the pain of separation with songs like ‘We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together’ or ‘I Knew You Were Trouble’. It's hard to imagine that this was in 2012. After all, we still know the songs inside out. And we can also remember the looks of the ‘Red’ era as if we had just worn them yesterday.

The looks for ‘Red’ are bold and passionate, with a clear focus on the colour red. Leather jackets, red lips and hot pants emphasise the intense emotions of the album and underline Taylor's powerful interpretation of love and loss. On tour, she decided to poke a little fun at herself with her stage outfit, wearing a T-shirt that read ‘Who's Taylor Swift Anyway? Ew’.

5. 1989 (2014)

In 1989, the year of Taylor's birth, she finally made the switch to pop music. Inspired by the sounds of the late 80s, the album presents a rousing mix of synth-pop and electropop, peppered with hits such as ‘Shake It Off’, ‘Blank Space’ and ‘Bad Blood’.

Not only the music, but also the fashion in this era is inspired by the 80s. With crop tops, sequins and mini skirts, her confident and playful look reflects the energetic pop aesthetic of the album, while also emphasizing her artistic development and sense of contemporary trends.

6. Reputation (2017)

In this album, she not only sings about love for the first time, but also reflects on topics such as media criticism and fame.

The outfits in ‘Reputation’ are dark and seductive. Black leather looks, dark lipsticks and heavy boots demonstrate Taylor's combative and self-confident attitude. She brings the fiery glam with a tailored Roberto Cavalli bodysuit that features a red snake coiled around her leg.

7. Lover (2019)

‘Lover’ marks a return to brighter, more optimistic themes, with the songs celebrating love in all its facets, in keeping with Taylor's tradition. With songs like ‘ME!’ and ‘You Need to Calm Down’, she offers her fans a colourful mix of pop and synth sounds.

The outfits that go with ‘Lover’ are vibrant and colourful. Pastel shades, romantic dresses and playful patterns dominate the picture and provide a clear contrast to the looks of the previous ‘Reputation’ era. With these new looks, Taylor revives romance and optimism.

8. Folklore (2020)

With ‘Folklore’, Taylor Swift turns to indie folk, presenting an album full of emotional narratives that feel like fairy tales. With tracks like ‘Cardigan’ and ‘The 1’, she once again proves her versatility and musical transformation.

In this era, naturalness and down-to-earthness are the order of the day. Soft knitwear, long, flowing dresses and creamy tones fit in perfectly with the calm and dreamy mood of the album. On stage, she wore a chiffon dress by Alberta Ferretti, which enveloped her movements in a special lightness.

9. Evermore (2020)

The album builds on the success of ‘Folklore’ and deepens the mix of folk, country and indie rock. With songs such as ‘Willow’ and ‘Champagne Problems’, it offers another collection of profound songs about love.

Similar to the ‘Folklore’ album, the looks radiate naturalness and rustic elegance. Knitted jumpers, layering shirts and muted colours in everyday life fit perfectly with the atmospheric and earthy mood of the album. Her stage outfit, on the other hand, was less everyday, featuring delicate embroidery and a soft drape.

The mix of synth-pop, electropop and indie elements presents songs like ‘Anti-Hero’ and ‘Lavender Haze’ that offer insights into fears, love and her role as a public figure.

The album look embodies night-time glamour in rich, dark colours with metallic and glitter elements. With the tailored bodysuit by Oscar De La Renta and the black sequined Louboutins, the ‘Eras’ tour is the height of extravagance.
