Even to this day, most start-ups are still founded by males. In celebration of International Women's Day, Melina Bucher provides insights into the experiences of a woman and founder and challenges along the way for female entrepreneurs. We hope to be able to inspire those women with their own ideas reading to seize opportunities and give them some tips on their journey!
Fierce, Fearless, self-empowered. The 19 year old Grace Epolo studies Psychology, actively engages for Black Lives Matter – and is a successful model booked by high-end brands and magazines. She is part of a young generation of models who do not want to be defined just by the attribute “beautiful”. In our interview, she speaks about self-love and why she stands up for important causes without fearing any negative consequences in her job or private life. Thereby being – without even noticing – an inspiration for all of us.
The campaign, shot in spring 2020, focuses on female empowerment and shifting mindsets. It mirrors the pluralism and complexity of female identities – everyone should feel addressed, no one should feel excluded. The images celebrate the uniqueness of the models, open a dialogue about female self-determination in the 21st century and transcend boundaries of consumerism.
