MIRUM®

MIRUM® is a high-performance plant-based vegan leather with 100% natural inputs. It is made from responsibly sourced natural rubber, plant-based oil, natural pigments and minerals. This material has a significant positive impact on greenhouse gas emissions as well as water scarcity and biodiversity, as it requires neither tanning nor water during manufacturing and dyeing.

BioPuff®

The filling material used in the DREAMER Bag is BioPuff® from Ponda. Unlike conventional fillers such as feathers and polyester, this next-generation material is produced by extracting fibers from the Typha plant, thereby regenerating precious wetland ecosystems.

LOVR

As reinforcements of the DREAMER bag, the non-woven material LOVR based on hemp residues from hemp fields in Germany by Revoltech is used. An all-natural and visionary material that has arrived to prove that changing for the better can be as simple as that.

Forager

Forager by Ecovative is a fully biological foam made of mycelium that is 100% free of plastic and chemicals. The result is true circularity where it’s needed most, because mycelium, when thrown away at the end of a product’s life, returns to the Earth as a nutrient rather than a pollutant.

How durable is Dreamer?

Our items are designed to last for years. Every material undergoes rigorous abrasion, flexing, and UV-resistance testing that meets or exceeds standards applied to traditional leather goods. Every piece is handcrafted with reinforced seams, edge finishing, and quality hardware.

Yes, we ship worldwide from our atelier in Germany. Shipping within Germany is always free. To the EU, the UK and Switzerland, shipping is free from €150 (otherwise €20) and takes 2 to 3 business days. To the US, Canada and all other countries, standard shipping is €20 and takes 3 to 5 business days. For the US, duties and import taxes are calculated at checkout and prepaid, so there are no extra fees on delivery. Express shipping can be selected at checkout.

What makes Melina Bucher different?

Most vegan leather on the market is PU- or PVC-based plastic. We refuse both. Our materials are bio-based to the greatest extent possible, some even 100 % plastic-free. Recognised by the German Sustainability Award, the German Design Award, and PETA.

Is your packaging sustainable?

Our packaging is 100 % plastic-free and vegan. Each bag ships in a reusable dust bag made from organic cotton, inside a recycled and recyclable box.
